为了保证SpeargrassHouse能够将乡村生活的风格和基调融进住宅之中，ArentPyke认为，蓝色、藏红花色和银灰色的运用是关键。蓝色与乡村的天空相呼应；藏红花色指的是给人温暖的秋叶；银灰色则是将住宅与岩石顶端和层叠的白云联系在一起的线索，由此绘制出一幅自然画卷。银灰色的大理石铺设在走廊上，当阳光照射而入，便将人们的视线引向一个令人亲近的空间。
